Introducing The Good Project's Four-Year Developmental Curriculum

Join us for an enriching professional development session unveiling our new Four-Year Developmental Curriculum. Based on the popular one-year version, these globally-inspired lesson plans move moves students through four stages: good person, good worker, good citizen, and a capstone that asks students to put these ideas together. Over the curriculum, students are guided through a series of questions central to understanding the importance of good work in our society, including:

  • How do I define “good work”? How do others define it?

  • What does it take to carry out good work?

  • What are my own personal standards of good work?

  • What are professional standards for good work, and how does that relate to my life as a student and as a worker?

  • What are some of the factors that make it difficult to carry out good work? How can I prepare myself for these challenges?

  • How can my community and/or my workplace support good work?

  • Why is good work important to society?

During this session, participants will gain practical tools for implementing the new lesson plans and explore how these resources promote excellence, ethics, and engagement in students’ lives both in and out of the classroom.

This session also provides a valuable opportunity to connect with fellow educators who have contributed to, or are working with, the same resources. Participants will exchange ideas and best practices for adapting the lessons to different curricula, integrating culturally responsive teaching, and fostering critical thinking.

As always, partipants who attend the live event earn a one-hour professional development certificate from The Good Project.
